Monthly Routine Order – is a document the 205 Collishaw Squadron staff need to provide to Regional Cadet Support Unit – Pacific (RCSU) about what the plans for the squadron are for the month. At a high level, there is everything that we as a squadron will be doing. What is does not have are the details of any of the special exercises that take place in that month. So, anything other than a regular training night, or something that routinely takes place, like bans or marksmanship practice.
As an example, Field Training Exercise (FTX) in the MRO it will be listed on the calendar, but there will be more information. That is when a WARNING ORDER is sent out for the special activity, and it will have all the details on where to go, and what to take.
What is a Warning Order?
The Warning Order is a detailed document of what is expected and what your cadet can expect for a specific activity including:
- Officer in Charge
- Cadet in Charge
- Start time
- End time
- What to bring
- What NOT to bring
- Where to go
- What your cadet will learn
- What is expected of your cadet
- What to do if signed up but now can’t go
- Who to contact in an emergency
- Parent/Guardian consent to attend
- If applicable, maps, or any other info necessary for the cadet to have regarding the adventure.
What are the Joining Instructions?
When you sign up for an activity outside the squadron, like Summer Camp, course, or a Competition, that is sponsored by DND, rather than just the squadron, once you are approved to attend, you will receive JOINING INSTRUCTIONS. They have the same information as the Warning Order, but it is first a consent form, for parents to allow the cadet to go and for the cadet to sign to agree to follow the rules. Then it provides the other details.
All WARNING ORDERS and JOINING INSTRUCTIONS are access through Cadet365 – 205air.com/cadet365.
