The Air Cadet Program offers youth aged 12-18 opportunities to learn, grow, and challenge themselves. Our mission is to develop strong citizenship and leadership skills, promote physical fitness, and inspire a lifelong interest in aviation. Through mentorship, community service, skill development, and teamwork, cadets gain confidence, discipline, and a sense of purpose shaping tomorrow’s leaders today. Our Motto: “To Learn. To Serve. To Advance”.

A complete list of awards and their selection criteria is available at the link above. Recipients will be announced during the Awards and Promotions Parade on JUNE 4 and at the Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) on JUNE 14.

MAY 9 DRILL DISPLAY & COMPETITION
Drill Team Cadets will be participating in the upcoming Drill Competition. Full details, including the Information and Criteria document, are available on Cadet365 in the Drill Team Teams channel. Travel and meals will be provided by RCSU (Pacific). Guests are welcome to attend, watch, and support the teams.

MAY 19 SSC BOARD MEETING
The Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 6:30–7:30 PM in the 808 Wing Lounge (above the LHQ). All parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend come stay informed and take part!

MAY 23-24 FAMILIARIZATION FLYING
Selected cadets will have the opportunity to participate in Familiarization Flying in Cessnas. Arrive 30 minutes before your flight time. Check for details in Cadet365, schedule will be posted in Teams.

MAY 30 BAND DISPLAY COMPETITION

JUN 4 AWARDS AND PROMOTIONS PARADE - ALL CADETS
Awards and Promotions Parade participation is required for all cadets. Additional details will be shared on Cadet 365. Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the parade. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

JUN 7 GLIDING
Registered Cadets will participate in a day of gliding (weather dependent). Lunch and transportation will be provided. Sign-up sheet will be posted in Armoury closer to the date. Registration will be limited to 25 cadets. Check for details in Cadet365.

JUN 11 SQUADRON FUN NIGHT (1800-2030)
Join us for a fun-filled year end celebration! Enjoy a potluck meal and a variety of activities. All cadets, family and friends are welcome to attend. Potluck sign-up sheet will be shared at the Armoury closer to the event date. Dress will be civilian.

JUN 14 ANNUAL CEREMONIAL REVIEW (ACR) ALL CADETS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND
The ACR is the most important event of the Air Cadet training year. As part of mandatory training, ALL CADETS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND in order to complete their training level, qualify for rank promotions, receive awards, and participate in summer training opportunities. Additional details will be shared on Cadet 365 as they become available. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

JUN 18 CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONY
Change of Commanding Officer time 1800-2115 dress is C1. A social gathering will follow the ceremony. All cadets, family and friends are welcome to attend. Additional details will be provided closer to the date.

CADET SUMMER TRAINING CENTRE INFO (Link)
Squadron staff will notify selected cadets as soon as information becomes available. CSTC training is open to all Cadets Level 2 and above. For more information, please see the Administration Officer.
808 Wing Events
You can also support our cadets by participating in upcoming 808 (Thunderbird) Wing events. As the squadron’s primary sponsor, 808 Wing provides the use of the Local Headquarters (LHQ) building and is a vital partner in our program.

Thank goodness It's Saturday is more than just a meal it’s a chance to connect, catch up, and enjoy a Saturday among friends from 11:30-13:00 for just $9 per person.

MAY 17 PANCAKE BREAKFAST (link)
Drop by anytime between (9:00am to 11:30am) 719 Nanaimo Lakes Rd follow Pancake Breakfast signs to 808 Wing Lounge at the back to enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast while supporting 205 Collishaw Air Cadets Squadron and 808 Thunderbird Wing. Selected cadets will be volunteering their time to serve guests and help with clean-up come out and show your support for these dedicated youth! Bring your family and friends we can’t wait to see you there!

MAY 29 - TGIF Social at 808 Wing (Link)
Thank goodness It's Friday drop by anytime between 15:30–19:30 for a fun-filled late afternoon! Bring a game, bring some friends, and enjoy great company. Snacks will be provided. $5 per person.
Parade night
- Regular Parade Nights are Thursdays: 18:00 – 21:20 hrs (September to June) and include parade practice and 3 periods of training for cadets.
- Commanding Officer’s (CO’s) Parade: are the first Thursday of every month 18:15hrs seating – 18:30hrs start (October to June) includes band and flag party presentations, uniform review, promotions and awards, and squadron events and announcements. Parents/Guardians and family are welcome to attend!
