“Tag Days” are fundraising events that occur twice (Fall and Spring). Supervised cadets in uniform stand outside local business, with management permission, requesting donations from the general public. Donors are given a tag that says “I Support Air Cadets”. This is one of the key fundraisers and the Squadron Sponsoring Committee’s (SSC) largest source of funding. This provides necessary funding for activities that are not supported by Cadets Canada, such as Familiarization Flying, Mess Dinners, band and biathlon equipment, insurance, etc.
Cadets are highly encouraged to participate in this fundraiser. It is also great opportunity for Cadets to interact with the public and promote the many benefits of the program.

How Parents and Guardians Can Support the Squadron
Parents and Guardians play a vital role in the success of our Squadron. Your involvement helps create a positive, supportive environment where cadets can learn, grow, and thrive.
If you’re looking for ways to get involved, becoming a screened member of the Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) is one of the most meaningful ways to support the program. Screening is required for anyone volunteering with youth, and our dedicated volunteers are an essential part of the team. Every effort no matter how small makes a meaningful difference.
The Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) is made up of screened parents and guardians of cadets, along with committed members of the community. The SSC serves as the local representative of the Air Cadet League of Canada and works to ensure the Squadron has the resources and community support it needs to succeed.
