Become a Cadet

If you are between the ages of 12 and 18 years and are looking for fun and challenging activities while making new friends and learning valuable life skills. Join 205 Collishaw Squadron Air Cadets to make friends, explore aviation, build leadership skills, and take on exciting challenges!

Air Cadets are not members of the Canadian Armed Forces, and the program is not a prerequisite for military service.

PART 1

NEW CADET Online Application (ONE TIME ONLY)

How to register with 205 Collishaw Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron (RCACS).

Step 1: Prepare before you start have ready:

  • Health card number + expiry date (if applicable)
  • Parents and or Guardians addresses and phone numbers

Step 2: Online application

  1. Click “Join the Cadet Program” (link below)
  2. Your squadron name will auto-fill (205 COLLISHAW NANAIMO, ROYAL CANADIAN AIR CADET SQUADRON)
  3. Enter your email and select “Start New Application”
  4. Check email → click “Continue Application”
  5. Complete and submit the form
  6. You’ll get a confirmation email once submitted indicating that your application has been sent to 205 Collishaw Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron.

Step 3: Follow-up after submission:

  • The Administration Officer will contact you
  • You’ll schedule a meeting to:
    • Verify your information
    • Check ID documents
    • Answer questions
    • Welcome you to the program

PART 3

SUPPORT 205 COLLISHAW SQUADRON (Optional)

205 Collishaw Squadron Air Cadets helps youth develop leadership, citizenship, fitness, and aviation skills. Community donations help fund enhanced activities that can cost over $1,000 per cadet annually.

SUPPORT/DONATE

To make a donation by e-transfer:

  1. Send your donation to EFT@205air.com
  2. Use the password “collishaw”
  3. In the message, please include your full name and contact information so we can properly identify your donation.

Tax receipts are available upon request for donations of $20 or more through the Squadron Sponsoring Committee. All donations are processed by our Treasurer on behalf of the Squadron Sponsoring Committee.

CODE OF CONDUCT (ALL cadets yearly)

Code of Conduct
Must be:
    • Filled out
    • Printed
    • Signed
    • Handed to the Administration Officer at Local Headquarters (LHQ) during office hours Thursday 18:00-21:00 hrs. Deadline: within 30 days of joining each year.

PART 5

ANNUAL VALIDATION FORM (Returning cadets only)

  • Given at start of training year (September)
  • Must be:
    • Signed by parent or guardian
    • Returned within 30 days. If not returned on time: Cadet may not be allowed to participate
