Our Air Cadet Program offers activities for youth aged 12-18 that will challenge and educate today’s youth to be the leaders of tomorrow. The aim of the Air Cadet Program is to develop in youth attributes of good citizenship and leadership, promote physical fitness and stimulate interest in aviation. Shaping tomorrow’s leaders through mentorship, community service, skill development, and teamwork. “To Learn. To Serve. To Advance.”

- JUN 5 Family Fun Night and BBQ 1800hr (6:00pm) Year end wrap up for the Cadets. Dress is civvies. Parents and family are welcome to attend. Burgers and hotdogs will be provided the rest is potluck. We need to know the numbers and what you will bring so please complete the BBQ SIGN UP on Facebook here. Remember to bring chairs, cups, plates and cutlery…and a towel/change of clothes in case you get wet!
- JUN 6 – 808 Thunderbird Wing TGIF Drop in Social (3:30pm-7:30pm) for a fun-filled late afternoon of darts, cards, games, and casual conversation. All are welcome for more information view here.
- JUN 15 Pancake Breakfast (9:00 am to 11:30 am) First 10 Father’s get a surprise! Come by and enjoy a tasty breakfast and support your 205 Collishaw Air Cadets Squadron and the 808 (Thunderbird) Wing Air Force Association. All are welcome for more information view here.
- JUN 28 – 808 Thunderbird Wing TGIS Cancelled (11:30-1pm) TGIS is more than just a meal; it’s a chance to connect, catch up, and enjoy a Saturday among friends. All are welcome for more information view here

- Pancake Breakfast volunteer We are looking for volunteers to serve once or twice a year. For more information and to view available positions view here. If you would like to volunteer contact here.
- Canteen assistance for the 2025-26 cadet year. We are looking for two volunteers to sell snacks to cadets one hour a week on Thursday. If you would like to volunteer contact here.
Parade Night
- Regular Parade Nights are Thursdays 18:00 – 21:15 hrs (September to June) and include parade practice and 3 periods of training for cadets.
- Commanding Officer’s (CO’s) Parade are the first Thursday of every month 18:00 – 20:30 hours (September to June) and include band and flag party presentations, uniform review, promotions and awards, and squadron events and announcements. Parents and Guardians are invited to come back at 1915hr (7:15 pm) to view the CO’s parade.
- Parade location is the Brigadier D. R. Sargent Armoury Building 719 Nanaimo Lakes Road, Nanaimo BC map.
- Drop in on Thursdays to talk with our Officers, Staff and the Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) members about the Air Cadet Program or upcoming events and activities.
